  • The Li Traditional spinning, dyeing, weaving and embroidery techniques (National Intangible Cultural Heritage)
    This skill is a traditional handicraft of Li women in Hainan Province who use natural fibers such as cotton and linen to make clothes and other daily necessities. It has a history of about 3,000 years. Through long-term practice in understanding and utilizing plant fibers and dyes, they have gradually developed and formed a complete system composed of four types of skills: spinning, dyeing, weaving and embroidery. Textiles made from this, such as long-sleeved shirts, bed sheets, tube skirts, headscarves, flowered hats and wall hangings, are collectively referred to as "Li Brocade", which is hailed as "the revitalization of Chinese textile history". On May 20, 2006, the traditional spinning, dyeing, weaving and embroidery skills of the Li ethnic group were included in the first batch of the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List. In 2009, it was included in the list of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO. In 2024, the UNESCO Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage was inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

  • Hainan Miao Panhuang Dance (National Intangible Cultural Heritage)

    "Village Show" is a distinctive cultural event in Wuzhishan City, Hainan Province. It integrates the traditional costumes of the Li and Miao ethnic groups with modern fashion and showcases the charm of ethnic culture through forms such as catwalk shows and dances. This event was very popular among tourists, attracting more than 30,000 spectators in a single session. It also appeared on the stage of Paris Fashion Week and collaborated with the internationally renowned clothing brand Vivienne Tam to launch the "LA Li" series, promoting the internationalization of Li brocade culture.
